The Master’s in Networks and Telecommunications offers two two-year tracks (120 ECTS) to train engineers specializing in the field of electronic communication systems (SYSCOM) and telecommunications operator networks (TELECOM). Approximately 30 students graduate each year, with a 96% employment rate.
SYSCOM engineers are experts in the design and characterization of high-frequency electronics (radio frequencies [RF] and microwave frequencies) used in all current communication systems: cellular telephony (4G, 5G, etc.), contactless identification (RF tags, RFID, NFC), radar, microwave links, IoT devices, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc. The skills acquired during the program enable them to keep pace with developments in these applications and adapt to future technologies in a constantly evolving field.
TELECOM engineers are experts in fixed (fiber optics) and mobile (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, etc.) telecommunications systems that carry both voice and data, enabling the provision of an increasingly diverse range of services such as mobile telephony, high-speed internet access, and digital television. The program trains executives in a dynamic sector to respond to the constant evolution of these services and the opening of new markets linked to the multimedia capabilities of these systems, which create numerous opportunities for equipment manufacturers, operators, and application providers in the sector.
Objectives
The Master’s in Networks and Telecommunications is designed to train experts capable of designing, deploying, and managing modern communication equipment and architectures. It focuses on mastering fixed and mobile telecommunications technologies (fiber, 4G/5G, IoT). The program prepares students for roles as design engineers and project managers, and opens doors to careers in research or innovation within the telecommunications sector.
Know-how and skills
The SYSCOM program is structured around blocks of skills and knowledge (BSK) that define the core of their expertise in the field of RF electronic communication systems and fixed and mobile telecommunications. Students learn to manage a personal, technical, and scientific project, as well as to design, build, and characterize the various circuits in a radio frequency transmission-reception chain.
The TELECOM program is structured around skill and knowledge modules (SKMs) that define the core of students’ expertise in the field of fixed and mobile telecommunications networks. Students learn to manage a personal, technical, and scientific project; design a fixed and mobile operator network; analyze the performance of a fixed and mobile operator network; oversee the deployment of a fixed and mobile operator network; and process digital communication signals.
International dimension
The program is offered as a dual degree in collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (Spain).
Training benefits

25% of the program consists of hands-on practical work.
Organization
The master’s program is organized into two tracks, each lasting four semesters and worth 30 ECTS credits, with a core curriculum in the first year (M1) worth 42 ECTS credits. The master’s program has a partnership agreement with the JUNIA engineering school. The program is offered as a dual degree with the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (Spain).
